Why WordPress?

WordPress started in 2003 as a blogging tool and has evolved throughout the years into a very powerful website builder and a robust, secure content management system (CMS).

WordPress is  easy to use and flexible enough to make just about any kind of website you can think of. That’s the main reason why WordPress has grown so much in popularity. According to a recent survey, WordPress powers 32.3% of all websites on the Internet and so has a huge following of supporters and contributors.

Because of WordPress’s wide range of advantages many of the top brands use it to power their websites including Time Magazine, Facebook, The New Yorker, Sony, Disney, Target, The New York Times, and many, many more.

Webdesign Matters started using WordPress about 5 years ago, tentatively at first and just on our own in-house websites. We were soon convinced that WordPress was now far ahead of any other CMS software and was the obvious choice for us to use going forward.

There are just so many benefits! WordPress is free software, it’s hugely popular and has an incredible amount of support and thousands of plugin apps which enables us to quickly build high quality websites for  our clients for very reasonable prices.
